CASE STUDY: HUMAN HIBACHI 3 - HORROR MOVIE BTS PROJECT

Official Synopsis: The third film in the cult hit found footage horror Human Hibachi franchise, The Last Supper, needed someone to capture behind the scenes footage specifically in order to increase awareness and advance promotion of this third film. Cinematographer Afotey Annum reached out to the film’s director Mario Cerrito, offering a cinematic solution that aimed to solve this problem.

Type Of Project: Behind the scenes video

BTS Director: Afotey Annum

HH3:TLS Writer: Mario Cerrito

HH3:TLS Producer: Mario Cerrito, Charmaine Cerrito

Budget: Undisclosed

Shooting Format: Digital, anamorphic

Mario Cerrito brought Per Annum Media in to work on this project, as he had seen some of the work we have done for other artists such as Saki Bomb Films and LPA Films. Unfortunately, the film’s production had already started, so BTS capture time was limited to the last few days of production.

THE SOLUTION

We created a comprehensive look at the latter half of the production schedule. All work was done internally by Afotey Annum for Per Annum Media.

Lasting Impact: The video was shown in a prefix fashion at screenings of the film, and helped to introduce audiences to some of the crew that were not featured in the film. Overall sentiment towards the Human Hibachi franchise was already positive, but this BTS video endeared a bunch more people to the film proper, especially when considering how restrictive showings of the actual film could be because of its extremely graphic content and themes. This BTS allowed people who may have been hesitant about jumping into the franchise to get a good look at just how passionate, professional, personable, and participatory everyone was on this project. Director Mario Cerrito was so pleased with the final product that he immediately secured Afotey Annum as main cinematographer for future projects.

The finished behind the scenes project is below.
